Data and information are more readily available today than ever before. The idea with collecting data is to turn it into valuable knowledge that can be used to grow or transform your business. The Center for Innovation Management Studies (CIMS) at NC State University is partnering with IBM to understand the business process this requires and the technology needed to support it. Together, CIMS and IBM are developing new tools to make information and unstructured data more meaningful and applicable to business.

NC State is evolving executive education with Business Collaboratories, highly relevant, directly applicable and solution-focused offerings. Business Collaboratories follow a model that integrates research, teaching, and corporate engagement, much like what we see at leading teaching hospitals and medical schools. This model has proven to be successful well beyond the classroom and no other business school is doing what we are doing with the Executive Programs offered at NC State’s Poole College of Management.
